This handpiece was created as my final project of my studies at BAJ. In mentorship with jewellery designer Sara Peymanpour we were asked to create a piece that explores the relationship of jewellery and AI. Based on this brief I started thinking about senses and finally had a conversation with ChatGPT about how it would explain and translate the feeling of touch to an AI. From this conversation and the code it gave me, I could extract that pressure, temperature and texture are the three main stimulus for touch which are represented in this piece. Sara Peymanpour has awarded me with her Prize for Emerging Talent for this piece.
